Calicut Globstars produced a determined effort with both bat and ball before Thrissur Titans edged home on the final delivery in a closely fought Kerala Cricket League encounter at the Greenfield International Stadium.

Batting first, Globstars posted 146/5 in their 20 overs, with Rohan S Kunnummal and Salman Nizar providing the major contributions. Kunnummal played a measured innings of 43 off 35 balls, hitting a six and three boundaries, before his dismissal in the 13th over. After wickets fell around him, Nizar took responsibility for the acceleration and produced a superb late-innings assault.
The Globstars finisher remained unbeaten on 51 off just 25 balls, striking six fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 204. His aggressive finish added valuable runs in the closing overs, while Abdul Bazith chipped in with 21 off 15 balls, including two sixes. Akhil Scaria added 19 from 31 balls as Globstars reached 146/5.
Defending 147, Globstars' bowling unit made sure the Titans had to work for every run. Akhin Sathar provided an excellent spell at the start, conceding just 19 runs from his four overs while picking up a wicket. Athif Bin Ashraf then produced an important spell, taking 2/22 from 3.1 overs, including key wickets during the Titans' chase. Akhil Scaria also claimed two wickets for 37 runs, while Harikrishnan M U took a wicket and contributed to keeping the Titans under pressure through the middle overs.
Thrissur's chase remained finely balanced as Globstars continued to pick up wickets. Ahmmed Imran scored 45 off 35 balls and Shoun Roger added 28 off 23, while M S Akhil played a crucial innings of 50 off 38 balls to keep the Titans in contention. With the target approaching, Globstars continued to fight for every run and took the game deep into the final over.
The Titans eventually reached 149/6 in 20 overs, getting the winning runs from the final ball to complete a narrow victory.
For Globstars, the contest showcased a strong finish with the bat and a determined bowling effort that kept the game alive until the very end. The result ultimately went against the side, but the Titans were pushed all the way before securing the win with the last delivery of the match.
