Globstars Storm to Eight-Wicket Win Over Kochi Blue Tigers

Calicut Globstars delivered a dominant all-round performance against Kochi Blue Tigers at the Greenfield International Stadium, completing a convincing eight-wicket victory after chasing down 151 in just 16 overs in the Kerala Cricket League.

Kochi Blue Tigers, batting first, posted 150/8 in their 20 overs, with Globstars keeping the innings under control through a disciplined bowling performance.

The Kochi batters looked to build momentum during the middle overs, but Globstars kept making breakthroughs at crucial stages. Akhin Sathar led the attack with an impressive 2/21, while Abdul Bazith was particularly economical, finishing with 2/11. Their spells helped restrict Kochi from adding a bigger total in the latter stages.

With the target set at 151, Globstars came out aggressively in the chase.

Rohan Kunnummal once again produced a standout performance at the top of the order, smashing 78 off 39 balls. The opener took the attack to the Kochi bowlers, striking four fours and seven sixes in an innings played at a strike rate of 200.

He was joined by Akhil Scaria, who finished unbeaten on 17 off 16 balls, as the pair guided Globstars across the target.

Globstars reached 151/2 in 16 overs, completing the chase with four overs to spare and securing their second-wicket victory of the game.
