Globstars' Brave Chase Falls Just Five Runs Short

Calicut Globstars came within touching distance of another memorable run chase, pushing Trivandrum Royals all the way before the Royals held their nerve to secure a five-run victory at the Greenfield International Stadium.

Chasing 184, Globstars produced an enterprising response and kept themselves firmly in the contest throughout the innings. Despite needing a challenging rate, the chase went right down to the final over before the Royals managed to close out the game.

Batting first, Trivandrum Royals put 183/6 on the board in their 20 overs. Globstars kept the Royals under pressure with wickets at important stages, with the bowling attack refusing to let the opposition completely dictate the innings.

The Royals, however, managed to find the crucial moments when they needed them most. Globstars continued to fight until the final delivery but eventually finished on 178/9, just five runs short.

It was a narrow margin in a match where Globstars had repeatedly fought their way back into contention. While the result went the Royals' way, the performance once again showed the character within the Globstars camp.
